Web Development & Web Design in Salford

Project Requirements.

WordPress Website Design Project for Award-Winning Recruitment Consultancy.

Vertical Recruitment were in need of website refresh, from both an aesthetic and functionality point of view.

Recruitment websites need to be tailored to two specific audiences; New Clients and Candidates.

From a Candidate point of view, the functionality behind the job search was key to the success of the website. The challenge was not only to ensure that keyword searches displayed the correct results, but that the correct filter options displayed based on the results of the search and that results could be pre-filter on the relevant pages to allow us to build pages around a set of pre-defined vacancy filters.

We also added the ability to auto-generate the main image meta, so that when a vacancy URL was shared to social media platforms, the preview image would automatically display key information such as salary and location.

Eclipse Recruitment Software Integration.

Vertical use Eclipse Software to store, manage and publish their vacancies across different channels. They also use Eclipse to store Candidate information, so it is a fundamental part of their day-to-day operations.

It was absolutely vital that we integrated Eclipse into the new website, so that the vacancies displayed on the website were always kept up to date automatically.

We used Eclipse’s Plugin to handle the API connection which then allows Job Vacancies to automatically be added, updated and removed, from the same platform that Vertical use across all other channels.

The Outcome.

The result of the new website was a much improved and more professional website aesthetic, that was a much better reflection of Vertical’s reputation as a well established and award-winning Recruitment Company in Salford.

The integration with Eclipse ensure that the website and it’s vacancies were being kept up to date without any extra administration work.

Vertical also commissioned a photographer to ensure that the new website had high quality images that showcased the personality of the business, and allowed to potential clients and candidates to find out more about the people that they would be working alongside.

The new website was also built with Mobile audiences in mind at all times, and with the majority of candidates browsing on mobile devices, it was imperative that all functionality was accessible and user-friendly across all screen sizes.

Another major consideration was ensuring that the website was set up to be as SEO friendly as possible, with all meta, H1s and content being full editable, including the job posts (which isn’t standard as part of the Eclipse plugin, as they disable editing capabilities on the job vacancies post type as standard). This allowed their external SEO partner to optimise the website to meet the requirements of their keyword campaign strategies.
